Nathan Downer was born in 1994 in Annatto Bay, Saint Mary, Jamaica. He is a visual artist based in Saint George’s, Grenada. Downer has participated in both private and public commissions, his most notable being a public art mural commissioned by the government of Grenada at Quarantine Point Recreational Park. He works mainly in the acrylic medium on canvas but also experiments with other mediums to create interesting marks and textures adding to the visual appeal of his artwork. He is currently working on a monochromatic series in which the complexity and resilience of women will be highlighted.  His work has been featured in Art 4 Any magazine. Upcoming shows include “Resilience, the Epicenter of Femininity” at La Luna Hotel, St. George’s, Grenada.
